Will zipper track screens actually make the lanai cooler?
Yes, noticeably, because they stop the sun before it reaches the screen cage and the concrete. They also cut wind-blown rain and keep no-see-ums out, which a standard cage screen does not.
Can I still see out with the screens down?
Yes. The standard mesh reads like sunglasses — you see the yard clearly from inside and people outside mostly see the mesh. If you want more privacy after dark we can go to a denser weave or a solid blockout fabric.
