Zebra blinds in Tampa Bay
Also called dual shades or day-night shades. Alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller — the most requested product we install, and every one is cut to your window.
What you actually get
A zebra shade is really two fabrics in one. Roll it so the solid bands sit on top of each other and the window closes up for full privacy. Offset them by a few centimetres and the sheer bands line up, softening the daylight while you still see the yard.
In Florida that matters more than it does elsewhere. Our light is harsh and low in the afternoon, and a zebra lets you cut the glare without turning the room into a cave at 3 PM. Fabric, band width, cassette colour and bottom rail are all yours to choose.

Questions we get a lot
Can you see through a zebra blind at night?
With the bands offset and a light on inside, yes — silhouettes are visible from outside, same as any sheer. Align the solid bands and it closes up completely. If a room needs guaranteed night privacy, we spec blackout-backed bands.
Do zebra blinds block heat?
They cut glare and a good amount of radiant heat, especially in darker fabrics. If heat is the main problem — a west-facing slider, for example — we will usually suggest a solar-screen roller instead, or a zebra with a screen band.
What about wide windows?
We fabricate wide single shades and multi-panel runs that line up band-to-band, so a long window reads as one continuous piece rather than three separate blinds.
Can I pick the colour of the parts, not just the fabric?
Yes. Cassette, bottom rail, brackets and chain all come in different finishes. We bring them to the measure so you can see them against your trim.
