Smart film & smart tint in Tampa Bay
Switchable privacy glass. Power it on and the glass is clear; cut the power and it turns opaque white in under a second. No fabric, no hardware, nothing hanging in front of the view.
What you actually get
Smart film is a laminate applied to the glass itself. It contains liquid crystals that line up when a small voltage runs through them, which makes the film clear. Switch it off and the crystals scatter, turning the glass to a solid frosted white that nobody can see through. The change takes a fraction of a second and can be driven by a wall switch, a remote, an app or a voice assistant.
It is the answer when a blind would be wrong: a glass office wall or conference room, a bathroom or shower enclosure, a front door sidelight, a glass partition, a clinic or salon treatment room, or a storefront that should be private after hours. It also cuts a serious amount of UV and glare while it is on, which matters in Florida.
We supply and install both retrofit film applied to your existing glass and factory-laminated smart glass for new construction, and we size every panel to your opening.

Questions we get a lot
Is it clear or frosted when the power is off?
Frosted. That is deliberate — if the power drops you keep your privacy rather than losing it. We can wire it so the default state suits the room.
Does it use much electricity?
Very little. It only draws power while it is in the clear state, and the draw is small — comparable to a low-wattage LED strip for a typical panel.
Can it go on glass I already have?
Yes. Retrofit film is applied to your existing glass on site. For new construction or a full remodel, laminated smart glass built into the unit is the cleaner option.
Can you see shapes through it when it is opaque?
You will see light and vague movement close up, the same as heavy frosted glass, but not detail. For a bathroom or conference room that is exactly what people want.
Does it work with Alexa or Google?
Yes, through a smart switch or relay. We set it up and show you before we leave.
Is smart film cheaper than blinds?
No — it is a premium product and costs more per square foot than fabric. People choose it where a blind would look wrong or would not physically work.
