What you actually get
Motorization used to mean an electrician and an open wall. It does not any more. Modern shade motors run on a rechargeable lithium battery that lives inside the tube, charge in a couple of hours with a USB cable, and last months between charges. Nothing gets cut into your drywall.
From there it is a remote in the drawer, an app on your phone, or “Alexa, close the living room.” Set a sunrise scene so the bedroom opens gently at 7 AM, drop everything at 10 PM, or put a two-storey patio screen on one button so the lanai is usable at 5 in the afternoon.

Every shade is custom made to your measurements in your fabric and colours, then installed and tested by the same crew. We clean up and show you how everything works before we leave.
Questions we get a lot
Do you need to run wires?
No. Battery motors go into the shade tube and charge with a USB cable a few times a year. If you are building or renovating and want hardwired motors, we can do that too — tell us before the drywall goes up.
How long does the battery last?
Typically several months of normal use per charge, depending on how many times a day the shade moves and how heavy it is.
Can I control them when I am not home?
Yes, through the app with a hub on your wi-fi. Handy for making a house look lived-in while you are away.
What happens if the remote gets lost?
We re-pair a new one. Pairing takes a few minutes per shade and does not require replacing the motor.
Can you motorize blinds I already own?
Sometimes — it depends on the tube size and headrail. Send photos of the shade and the roller ends and we will tell you honestly whether retrofitting is worth it.
