What you actually get
Horizontal blinds are still the most flexible thing on a window: tilt the slats up to bounce daylight onto the ceiling, tilt them down for privacy from the street, or lift the whole stack out of the way. Faux wood handles Florida humidity far better than real wood, and aluminium is the workhorse for kitchens and rentals.
Blackout is a different job. Getting a genuinely dark room means dealing with the light that leaks around the edges, not just through the fabric — so we spec side channels or a generous outside mount where it actually matters.

Questions we get a lot
Will a blackout blind make the room properly dark?
The fabric will. Whether the room goes dark depends on the mount — inside-mounted shades always leak a little at the edges. If you need true darkness we will quote side channels or an outside mount that overlaps the frame.
Faux wood or real wood in Florida?
Faux wood, almost always. Real wood warps with our humidity, especially in bathrooms and anywhere near a slider that gets opened all day.
Do you have cordless for a nursery?
Yes, and we recommend it. Cordless or motorized is the safe default in any room a small child sleeps in.
